Hello Bimbos, Himbos and Ximbos,

So I am writing this message as myself, Chris - Father, son, Arsenal fan and majority owner of Bimboland Ltd. (as opposed to my alter ego, Sindy Laarson aka Miss Bimbo, the founder and President of the Fashionable Republic of Bimboland.)

I have read some of your posts and so would like to address some points in them.

1) Me
Firstly lets talk about my relationship with and dreams for Bimboland.
My friend Nico created Ma Bimbo back in 2005 and, like many of you, I immediately fell in love with the Bimbo brand. I realised I have an inner Bimbo and so together we created Miss Bimbo back in 2006/7. I have been proud of my inner Bimbo for 13 years now. Its a long time. But there is much more to come.

When I conceived the idea of Bimboland I did so with you in mind. 5 years of being run ragged by you lot on Miss Bimbo taught me a lot. I dreamt of creating some type of shared Bimbo democracy between you and I. A Bimboland fashion community that is online forever long after we have all gone to Bimbo heaven.
A democracy that is part run by us and part run by you - the Bimbo populace.

You can see by the constitutional mechanisms that I put in place that Bimboland is conceived as something that can continually be improved forever. Contrary to popular belief - I have always trusted in you and believed you will elect the right people and make the right decisions for Bimboland. I envisage Bimboland in 100 years still being here and being built on the same democratic foundation that Karol (Sachem) and I started Bimboland with in 2014.

Only it will get much better as we grow to devolve and share more power with you.

So for me its a long term project. I know that may disappoint some of you whom want immediate gratification and immediate change. I know some of you get frustrated with the slow pace of change etc

I am sorry for that.

However we must live within our means and stay solvent.

This is not a money making exercise for me. I dont take any money out of Bimboland and have never done since the Miss Bimbo days.

Any money spent on this site goes to Karol, Szymon, servers, the PB and all gets re-invested.
This a passion project for me. I am curious to see the site grow and develop. And I love the Bimbo brand. Who doesn't love their own inner Bimbo? I know I do. I want to integrate real life fashion products into the site in the near future.

So please bare with us.

I want to see more changes and get frustrated with Karol and the developers when they don't move quicker but please remember that Rome was not built in a day and neither was Bimboland.

We are working on ways to speed things up.

2) Age issues

We are a 16+ site. This means minors are allowed in Bimboland.

We are registered in England and Wales and minors aged 16+ can join the army, have sex and work in the UK.

This means that they are able to engage on an entertainment website such as Bimboland. Bimboland is classed as an entertainment website and NOT an adult website.

We do NOT allow REAL LIFE adult sexual images such as nipples on Bimboland. Pixelated images of nipples ARE NOT real life images of nipples and are fine. All content is suitable for minors over 16+.
Images of sex toys are NOT sex toys.

It is children aged below 16 whom are expressly banned from Bimboland.

If that's true that this site is friendly for minors why have you refused to ban users with REAL porn on their profiles? Users thatve sent others porn without their permission? Hello Chris,

I am glad that you are responding here and letting us know your feelings on Bimboland as well as telling us about your future plans, however I do have a question. Will you be redoing parts of the site to be more 16+ friendly? The age of consent being 16+ doesn’t apply to virtual spaces, as the age of consent is mostly a law for sexually active teenagers to have sex with each other without their parents’ or law involvement. There are still laws that forbid people from exposing minors to sexual content online or engaging them in cybersex, as this can be passed off as engaging in or trading CP, even when both parties are under 18. The option to virtually have sex in the club, having fuckbuddies or letting them have access to an area on the site that is explicitly 18+ for example would all violate this law. You say that real life imagery of nipples are banned on Bimboland, yet there is an entire thread dedicated to images of boobs (https://bimbo.land/forum/boobs/t1522) that have quite a few pictures of exposed nipples that were never taken down because everyone was under the impression this was allowed. On top of that a majority of the adult users feel extremely uncomfortable at the idea of possibly encountering sexual interactions with a minor. Even if you advertise the site as an entertainment website instead of adult website, the fact doesn't change that this website is still heavily adult themed.

And as we all know, a lot of people don't read through every site's TOS or PP or rules before signing up. The chance of a lot of minors under 16 signing up to Bimboland is very real because a 13 year old will see a site is 16+ and still think they can make themselves at home there, but once a site is marked as 18+ this will steer away a lot of minors under 16 at least from signing up since at that age it might still be scary for them to be in places that have adults themes.

The decision to make the site 16+ also feels like it was done on a whim without really thinking it through, for months the site used to still say in certain places that the site was 18+. If you truly want to make this site welcoming to players under 18 you have to keep in mind that quite a few aspects of the site has to be changed as well as become stricter and issue heavier punishments on people who are engaging in sexual interactions whether it is through roleplay or being legitimately intimate. You’ll also have to keep in mind that if a user who is 16 gets elected to be Prime Bimbo you’ll have to work together with a minor to make decisions for the website, and speaking from experience 16 year old teenagers usually don’t take well to being in a position of power whether it is because they’ll start abusing this power in any way they can, treat the position as a joke, or because they’ll get overwhelmed because they’re not used to the amount of responsibility they suddenly have to bear. A 16-17 year old also can’t spend or take Prime Bimbo money since they’re not allowed to have a PayPal account of their own, so they’d need to have their parents’ permission to spend or receive money.

I ask you to once again take the decision to have the site be 16+ into consideration.

First things first, I'm glad that you take your time to repply us, Chris. I don't know if you will read it because I can imagine that you're very busy outside BL, but I still wish to point some stuffs regards the age limit, since I study digital environments like Bimboland on my ongoing degree.
While I understand that the legal age to be considered an adult is different country-to-country, this community ended up being global and I found that's one of the most interesting aspects of that. Users came from a huge amount of places in the world and it's something very special. Recently, we got a lot of new users registering and I think that the game will keep growing in the near future, and we - the voluntary staff - keep in touch which all those players, which is why we're all pointing the need to rise up the age limit again to 18+.
A huge amount of users outside UK (and even in UK, as far as I can tell) feel really uncomfortable having teenagers around, for several reasons that Plush already pointed out along with several other players. So, if you want - like I think you want - to make this huge, wordwide community where people from the most different countries and cultures could play and feel welcome, then it's important to keep in mind the cultural differences between those users in order to expand the brand outside your country, specially if you want to connect it to the real world like you told us that you're planning to do. The content that people are pointing as innapropriate could affect how people will perceive that brand, which kind of values that it have, and so on. People might not join us or relate the brand you're buying with bad values and it will affect your dreams and also our community on the long run. We're all working to improve things because we loved the game and we're trying our very best to help you to achieve your goals.
So, it's only an advice, but I think you must pick what's your priority. If you wanna make it 16+, then you must addapt it to be welcome for teenagers all over the world. Or, you could leave it almost at it is and raise the age limit to 18+, so adults for many countries could feel comfortable with the adult jokes, etc... Because at my country, for instance, paying for sex is a criminal activity and people can't go to clubs until they turns 18, so any brazilian folk that sign up to BL will think that we're being enablers to ilegal activity and setting up a innapropriate role model and people will go very loud about it at the internet. :/ And Brazil is not the only country where it will happen.
If you want to make it 16+, I'll do my best as an FG to make sure the forum is safe for teenagers, but some things is up to Team Bimbo and until the adms are ready to make the needed changes, I guess it's for the best to change it to 18+ and after change all the things that people found offensive, make it 16+ again. It will reduce the stress over Team Bimbo and over the whole voluntary staff as well. ;)

Look, I’m just saying. I don’t really feel comfortable at all seeing anyone below 18 on a site that literally has a memory game with sex toys and kink stuff. I was introduced to the internet at a young age, below 18, and it completely ruined so much of who I am as a person mentally. I don’t want these kids to be the same because some site they play cannot understand that the safety of a person is more important than laws, money, whatever. It’s a question of morality. Hi Chris, as someone said before, the age of consent doesn’t apply to virtual spaces.
There are predators on bimboland who do not face consequences because they pay money, it was bad enough when the site was 18 plus and now you’ve given them access to minors -the age of consent isn’t global either.
So what are you going to do about these predators? Surely it poses a lot of legal issues for you and the site if these predators continue to act as they always have -publicly replying with sexual roleplay in the forums, or sending porn through DM. What would happen if they sent that to someone under 18? And while the site may be 16+ i’m sure we all know younger teens tend to disgregard that.
I and i’m sure many others do NOT want to see minors (or adults either) be groomed and/or sexually harassed. So, either change the site back to 18+ (and get rid of the predators) OR, get rid of the predators and make the site completely minor friendly -removing sex and drug references, etc.
