I think it was a cheap trick for them to make some extra money.I mean, that's definitely it, but who would spend $5-10 on the possibility of getting extra bonuses four months from now? Hopefully very few users are falling it but I don't think this will be resolved until after the next PB election. Right before the next PB election, the site will likely remind users of the new rule to encourage state switching and the owners will get to see if their plan worked or not. What if all the State Ministers just agreed to not run for PB in the next election?
The problem is, even if no SM decides to run, the election is bugged so the current PB is forced to run even if they don't want to. And as soon as that happens, ONE person somewhere is gonna vote for them, leading to a win by 1 vote if need be. So sadly fully boycotting the PB elections is impossible. We can do our best to help though, by not participating.Ugh, that's a shame.
Ugh while I'm at this, this reminds me of when Neopets got taken over by Scientologists and then later when TNT got ran into the ground after the site was already eviscerated by people that lost the vision for it. to then become the Prime Ximbo.

Yes a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 3 terms max.
How often do elections take place?
