I don't pay this game, in fact I only made this account to provide a response to this thread specifically. That being said, despite my lack of experience actually in the game, I feel this is worthwhile nonetheless.

First and foremost, let’s address Miss Bimbo’s opening statement:

“By now I expected that we would have been the first website ever to have developed a healthy and open democracy. I had hoped we would have developed into the worlds first and best online democratic nation by now.

By that I mean that I had expected every election and state minister election to be hotly but fairly contested by now. I expected a vibrant, exciting and lively democracy. I had expected that political groups or parties would have developed along the left-right axis with off site websites and groups forming. I had expected by now that elections would be hotly debated and eagerly anticipated by all.

However this has not happened and that is disappointing.”

I am genuinely confused by how somebody can be this unironically delusional about something, to the point where I’ve convinced myself Miss Bimbo has to be trolling with this utter nonsense.

From this statement alone and from what I’ve come to understand about how this quote en quote “Nation” started, the ideal prime directive for lack of a better phrase - is for Bimbo Land to be a political haven open to all, for all intents and purposes it is to function as a true western democratic society. With free trade, differing opinions and it’s own citizenship it was intended to function as though it were a real country.

Now then, let’s take a look at the reality of the situation. From what I can tell, this website is a decade old pipedream of two random blokes with a decent background in software that clearly had a couple Guinesses in the pub together and decided this would be a good idea.

At the end of the day, when it’s all said and done, what we have here is not The First and Only True Great and Bountiful Empire of The Nation of Bimbo Land. What we have here, is an outdated, poorly maintained, poorly managed and highly sexualized adult internet dress up game - with a side order of community forum.

The question Miss Bimbo should be asking herself is not,

“is it because our Ximbos/users are not 'politically minded' or intelligent enough to appreciate the nuances of community politics?”

It is not,

“Is it because the Prime Ximbo is not paid enough?”

It is not,

“Is it because Ximbos don't like democracy and prefer to simply live under dictatorship?”

The question she should be asking herself is: “What is the product I have created, why have I created it and who are my consumers?”.
If she was to ask herself this without role playing, honestly, truly thought about it, or even took a look at the website. The only answers to those questions are -

1: A weird, highly sexualized, role playing fantasy dress up game for “adults”
2: To make money
3: Literally, and I cannot stress this enough, women and gays.

While it is clear, you have worked hard to implement some sort of real world political undertone, this is not the main draw or focus of the vast majority of this playerbase/community.

The main draw of this community is the fact It’s a dress up game where young adults, queers and stay at home mums can dress up a character and chat with other young adults, queers and stay at home mums. (whilst giggling at clip arts of dildos).

Now it’s true that with any large community, there is going to be a degree of political discussion, you must look at the demographic of human beings within said community. The vast majority of which are again: gays and women. And what is the overwhelming political ideology of gays and women?

Liberal/Left politics.

And what happens when you have an overwhelmingly vast amount of like minded individuals? Well that’s obvious, the overwhelming majority of the like minded individuals don’t give a fuck about your political undertones because everyone agrees and then they go back to checking what new piece of clothing they can buy for the next fashion contest.

It truly is baffling to me, how the owner of a website can be so completely and utterly disconnected from its users to a point where you don’t even understand the purpose of the website you’ve created.

My overarching point is this, to put it bluntly: Bimbo Land, is not a country no matter how hard you dream about it being one, it is not a democratic society. It is a dress up game, where people come to buy low quality JPEG clothes and stick them on low quality JPEG characters, then talk about those low quality JPEG outfits. Nobody on this website, with the exception of maybe 5% have ever cared, nor will they ever care, about your political pipedream. To the point where there is genuinely a discussion thread about why players chose their state and most people’s reasoning is something to the effect of “i like the colour”.

The players are simply not here for politics.

That being said, I need to make this perfectly clear, in terms of my own political views, being conservative myself I suspect I actually agree with Miss Bimbo on a great many things. But seeing as I’m also a real human being living in a real democratic society, on a real planet, in a real universe: I understand there is a time and a place for politics - spoilers, it’s not here.

This website, clearly is overwhelmingly left, full of LGBT and young women, if you have any sort of right leaning notions on this website, you will be shut down, as unfortunate as that is. So yes, implement some more open freedom of speech policies to improve open discussion on this platform.

And to the left playerbase I’ve just described, have some perspective for christ’s sake, this is a bloody internet forum, if somebody says something you disagree with or feel hurt by - get over it. There are places in this world that at this very second, people are being blown to pieces in their homes surrounded by their families and you’re all sat here upset because every now and then some anonymous troll online says fat people eat food.

People have dumb fuck opinions about a great many things, just because you don’t agree, doesn’t mean they arent entitled to be a dumb fuck, let them be fucking dumb and go on about your life. If they aren’t threatening you, if they aren’t inciting violence, if all they have done is typed out a sentence that makes them look like a complete cunt, take solace in the fact that they’re clearly a complete cunt - then move on back to your PXFC outfit.

And to the tiny populous of right wingers on here, if all you’re here for is the nostalgia of this game, or simply just to call people fat, then I encourage you to do something more insightful. Or go back to your PXFC outfit.

And to Miss Bimbo, please, for the love of god, reevaluate what this site is actually for. You will come to find that if you implement features that cater to your audience i.e people here to dress up characters and count to infinity on a forum thread to farm virtual points - those players will spend more money and you will have less of a headache trying to force them to be something they will never be.
