There are a couple of ways that one becomes a senator one is to do like I did and pay for it which is how the site is supported and the techs are paid to do the development of the features. the other is to be appointed by the Prime Bimbo which is free but also less secure since the appointees can be removed by the Prime Bimbo. I f you want the Prime Bimbo to take notice you need to be active on the site , maintain a positive outlook and be helpful to new citizens.

im a little anxious too, because whoever wins represents bimbolands for the next 4 months so we need someone who's humble that the people like being around. all 3 of the candidates offer their own skills and personality to bimbolands, but we all need who's best to represent it because everyday the site grows with new players, we need to make a good impression on them to entice them to stay. another reason im a bit nervous is because if whoever wins wants to change the senators that the current prime bimbo Bebe chose to represent each state, then he or she can change the entire team, i really like being on the team and wouldnt want to see it change, i think our current team works pretty well together.

As a senator in the Elections I wish to assure you that I see no problems with the current senators of the other states. I plan no changes in that regard. Actually I would like to give assignments to them according to skills. For example I love Mandie's task she took on by herself doing the FAQ's. This shows me initiative and requires a lot of thought and effort. Why change what is already perfect? Remi, I would put in charge of all official contests. As for other assignments it would purely be based upon skills and interests. Some of the other senators are not so active in the game and so I've not really gotten to know their skills very well, yet. I'm always reading, all posts and I don't play favorites. I would expect at least 1 new idea from any of my senators. It doesn't even matter if it is possible. I want senators with ideas, and a voice to share them.

There is one change I will try to make. I would love to see the population of the individual states actually elect a Representative senator to the Pink House. With our population being so small this is not possible, yet. (Maybe an added incentive to buying a senate seat, like an extra 10,000 B$. The earnings of a single fashion contest should be at least be afforded a player who pays extra, to play this game. Ideas come easy when you seriously play the game with a bank account...)

About the only major change in senators I wish to do, is that I wish to bring Ceres into the management team. I see something inside of her that makes her a natural bourn leader. I wish to give her that chance. (if she wants it)

In my opinion one of the greater issues holding back population as well as that population wanting to use real money is that there isn't a lot do. Right now, my Bimbo is sleeping for eight hours, so ... well. I bought, like, two outfits, happy with that. Didn't find any mini games; everything requires either hours or BD. The game pretty much plays itself. In any case, when I am sitting here, wondering what to do, I can't think of anything but taking a look at the forums, because I can't even vote on debates again (yet). Thinking about positions and how to manage them is a cool feature for the Senators and the Prime Bimbo, but not everyone aspires to be either, especially when starting out with the game. Before you want to invest yourself as well as your bank account, you need to be hooked. Why return to the game when there's not much to do after the first few days.

Don't get me wrong, these debates, I really like them. It's a cool thing, if flawed where voting is concerned (as discussed elsewhere). There are quite a few minor issues as well that concern convenience, but as I said above, interactivity and a goal anyone can reach for apart for Senator and Prime Bimbo are key to create lasting interest. Let me give the levels of Miss Bimbo as an example: the higher your level was, the more you gained. Better job opportunities, more clothes, more options for diversifying your Bimbo. We wanted to reach the level goals because we were given specific tasks to accomplish, and we were paid off for our effort. Here, I'm not sure I need to go beyond car washer as a job for my Bimbo because doing the chores to achieve the requirements for a job and getting the job seem trivial.

If the Prime Bimbo can affect change, this is still a tough time for it. Gotta start at the beginning, not somewhere in the middle.

Obviously, it is impossible for me to have encountered everything the game has to offer yet. But I am missing a concrete goal that I can achieve, just as a citizen and new member. Something to strive for as no one special. Just my tuppence worth.

It wasn't my idea to write up the faq, I took no initiative to write it without being told to. Bebe assigned it to me and I accepted the assignment because I felt it was something I could do properly. There is no 'I' in team, we may work on independent projects but it all comes together to what we have on the forums now, and all of us took part in the discussions of ideas and the planning; with Bebe's final decisions taking into account what everyone thought was best. So let's not get too ahead of ourselves in the planning, it's still a big mystery who will win the election, and who will be doing what jobs :) I kind of like that we don't truly know who will win for sure, it's sure to be interesting to watch how the future of Bimbolands unfolds.

Now talking in general about the recent ideas brought up, the idea to give people who pay to become senators extra B$ might be a good incentive but I don't know if many people will buy into the game just yet, like Glennis said "The game pretty much plays itself." because the gameplay consists of clicking and waiting. Don't get me wrong, I like that there's more to do now, but there's still not quite enough actual interaction in the gameplay between the player and the game. We can build up stats for free or do it faster with our B$, but in the end it still doesn't feel as fulfilling as for example, if you built up your stats and went to work by playing various mini-games. But I guess that would make it harder to get people to pay to become Senators if all the fun were free huh? I realize nothing comes for free but there still has to be more to the game for people to buy into it. I guess that's part of the struggle with free games, the tech needs to get paid to make the game and maintain it, and the owner, rightfully, wants to make profit off of it, but the players want to see more evidence that there will be a game worth their money and time. It seems that somebody needs to be willing to compromise to really get this game into gear. Giving paying senators lots of B$ can't make the game more interesting, but perhaps it could raise enough money to be able to afford more interactive gameplay. Maybe a big promotion or sale on B$ and senatorship could help the site? I know I would buy into that if the sale was a decent reduction, but I'm just throwing an idea out there for everyone to see.
