My day has been pretty average. I didn't sleep very well because I overslept the day before, so I fell asleep around 1 am, and woke up at 7:30 for school. I went to painting class, I got my canvas ready and started to work on our current assignment: a black and white psychological painting. I stayed in the studio for about an extra hour after class, just working on the painting then I went to the sculpture studio. I cut some wood for my friend who was too nervous to use the bandsaw, and carved my own wood, and glued some pieces together. When I was done with that I hung out with my friends for a few minutes then waited for my mom to come pick me up, then went home. Now I'm sitting here in my basement watching King of the Hill and chatting in the Senate :)

My day has been blah. The kids went to school and daycare and I went to work. I had made some plans earlier this week to go out with a good friend of mine because I've been having a very bad time emotionally these past couple of weeks but my babysitter canceled on me last minute. Like 30 minutes before she was supposed to be here kind of last minute. And then my big brother came over and dropped three of his five kids off with me and then left and said he was going to get a bite to eat and still isn't back. It's almost midnight where I am. I guess I'll just have to aim for tomorrow but my brother and I are going to have to have a come to Jesus talk about him dumping the kids off on me without even asking me if I'm free.

My days often are very spontaneous.  Today was a perfect example.  
   I seem to have become an important person to two boys ages 6 and 8. 

  It is so fun, that they insist upon making me feel like a little girl all over again.  I never allow unexpected visits by adults, but the way the boys knock on my door lets me know who they are, and that they are inviting me to play in the fields with them.  It's rather adorable to me, because I remember having a neighbor like me when I was 7 years old too.  The tables were turned however because the neighbor I played with was a man who taught me survival skills in the mountains, and made the lessons age specific. I can't even remember his name anymore but I think that was my first lesson in community.  I see the boys today just totally thrilled when I do something so simple that seems like magic to them.  This makes me very happy.

  The boys seem to open up to me and talk freely about silly little boy things, that I never thought about before.  I enjoy seeing life with the perspective of a child.  Our conversations are just so innocent, and that is so refreshing for me.  I'm not even babysitting them, and they insist upon treating me as just another girl. I just watch them with a mothers eyes, and all is well. They listen to me as well as my own children did when the 'mommy voice' is used...  This says so much about the boys' mother, and the aunt she lives with now.  It is rare for an American woman to meet such respectful male children.  Jackie raises them so well, and in return those boys will forever appreciate the women that they will eventually marry.

  I thought to much today.  With 2 sets of beautiful eyes watching your every move, I had to step up my game and be a friend to the cutest little men-in-training, today.   I didn't expect this to happen when I woke up this morning. Two little boys escorted me on my afternoon wanderings and were my little army-men. We played a war game. Hide and seek in a real forest.  I could never do that with an adult man.  I would be constantly on guard, and never have any fun at all.    
   My friends were so entertaining today, and made me feel special even though I was covered in dirt and grime and didn't feel pretty in the least. I let them find me often enough to keep the game exciting for them.   Games are not always about winning, but often the perfect time to lose.  Those are the most teachable moments.
     Life seems to have ways to make you appreciate the people with whom you share the world with.
Me. I would have rather nurse the baby, but Jackie has that covered and just needed to send the boys to my house for some peace and quite. She doesn't even bother to ask. I can help and she knows it.  I really love these sort of surprise gifts.  Little boys know better than grown men how to have fun.  That alone, was worth seeing when I woke up this morning to the excited voices of my friends wanting to play in my yard. 

             In a wild way of thinking outside-of the-box, I believe God wants me to use my talents for Jackie's family.   I'm OK with that. Why else was I trained at the same age as the boys to do  traditional boy activities?
  Gender identity  in the 1970's was much more of a dogma than it is today.  I didn't have access to friends my age when I was a child.  I spent my free time in the mountains.  I met a man in the forest one day, and he began teaching me the skills he learned.  Who knows,  he just seemed to like his life too,  and shared what he knew with me.   So it seems just proper that I return the favor to a pair of worthy students. (My sons received that training too, and are very successful men , today.) They sure love the challenge of making me giggle with every success that they earn. The very same as I felt when I was exactly the same age as them.  The pride in learning something new, today..

My son made good on a promise today.  Of course it still cost me a visit to his house, but he made it worth the 2 minute ride.
He fixed my primary network today for my house.  He made it look easy.  I love watching my son work for me.  It's the best time to just hold the tools,requested and talk to him about his life.  I wonder if fathers need to do this when wives die, and daughters are left behind. Having no extended family left, and as a family we are orphans complicates the social situation.  I see it as a blessing to me in the making of MEN.  He talks about himself very openly, and this is a very rare thing for a mother to hear and it warms my heart.

  Even though I am being his mother; he seems to need to be around me doing the messy jobs of anything 'FIXABLE' that he would do normally around his father. That is how he saw my marriage.   It's breaking my heart a little,  but I'm glad that he knows, I'm not a completely useless princess.      He picked where to live and paid a fortune for his house all by himself at 22 years old 60 days ago.   Seems he wanted to live near his mother today.  He is happily married, but his wife and I work opposite times by chance,   It has been very interesting how he has become a bit more interested in our childhood activities.   He asked me to show him how to throw knives today. But he remembered me throwing knives at trees in the yard with his father when he was about 4 years old and with money burning a hole in his pocket he bought the best...  He bought a beautiful set of Buck knives, that I must say I had never seen before.  I used to throw knives about 25 years ago, and really never kept the skill. Equipment changes and the lack of being hungry made me lose interest in the skill...    I showed him the grip, and the aim,  and he learned all he needed to know.  The knives were perfect even for my rusty hands. He was a Natural.
(how convenient,  Muhahahaaa)  I never even had to change clothes due to blood loss.
   That works for me to have a GREAT day.  I prefer hanging out with my adult son more than the sexiest cowboy ever to smell like shit and look like a heavenly toy.
  His wife is SOOOOOOO  BLESSED.
  I still slapped his sexy ass out of habit.  Whoo-RAhhhh
  He hit the target and smiled at me.
          I had to parent my Adult child today, and it couldn't have been a more fun experience with a MAN.

Any Ximbo citizen can become Prime Ximbo using the democratic process. Its a 3 stage process from Senator>State Minister> Prime Ximbo. All Ximbo citizens can vote in general elections but in order to put themselves forward to become Prime Ximbo they must first become a Ximbo senator. All Ximbo senators are electable as state ministers. State Minister elections take place every 4 months also. Only state ministers are eligible to then become the Prime Ximbo.

Can I become Prime Ximbo more than once?
Yes ­ a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 3 terms max.

How often do elections take place?
The Internet republic of Ximbolands holds elections every 4 months for Prime Ximbo and 4 months for State Minister.

Where do important discussions take place?

What is the treasury/Prime Ximbos salary?
The treasury/salary is the bank account of the Internet republic of Ximbo land. This figure is transferred to the paypal account of the Prime Ximbo at the end of their 4 month term in charge.

How is the treasury calculated?
The treasury is funded by the Ximbo citizens.
A percentage of the money paid by Ximbo citizens via Paypal and SMS is transferred into the Ximbo treasury. The rest is wisely used for further game development.
