that's the spirit :) and HLB, you're very right, it's not our fault the game is slow right now. "Too many chiefs, and too little Indians" is a perfect way to describe the problem. my hopes for this site is that it becomes somewhere people can have fun and make friends. maybe that's overly optimistic but if we build up this community slowly with our good intentions, and keep a welcoming and fair attitude, i think we could do it! it's a long way coming, but right now we have the chance to build not only a website but also a community that means something.
The former players of Miss Bimbo really understand what made the game something to play, and spend real money on. Blighty LTD has a great opportunity here. SweetasNuts/ Chris is not seeing the potential as it is truly deserved. This 'BETA' version is only suited for forum players. Sure, I love to talk to myself, but that doesn't mean everyone else in the world likes to talk to blank walls. The players who have been posting regularly, should be rewarded.
Not left to dry out like a Mummy, in the sands of past-times. Oh that's right. B$ 0.05 common sense to you !!!!!!!!!!
I wish my previous post (#30) wasn't lost on page Three. It really was meant for the Owner of the game to read...... I just thought you would like to see a senator at work. Transparency in action and deed. This is my sort of politics. I truly want to see Bimbolands' become something like Miss Bimbo with an educated twist.
Yet a player with a grandiose title can do little to shape the future they have no input or control over. This is the fate of senators, and real dollars and ultimately real players who just wanted to see if the game is worth playing...... I refused to run for Prime Bimbo, because of the uncertainty of the power vacuum. Bebe stepped up to pave the way for the first election, and I totally support her. The times are just not in the bimbo's favor right now. The game works perfectly for me, but the flaws remain in the fact the game has NO GOALS. I attended the meetings and had absolutely nothing to say. Ideas, by players are just that. IDEA'S. The chat got so 'PIE in the SKY, I had to just tune out like I was watching a cartoon. Great ideas, to be sure, but the fundamentals of the game were completely ignored.
Something like this:
I think we need a water-fountain in the middle of the lake so we can drink while buying clothes from my shop. Players shops are a personal goal for some players, but in the big picture, the least of the true concerns. THIS GAME NEEDS A POPULATION WHO CAN AFFORD THOSE CLOTHES. CAN YOU buy anything in the shops right NOW? [TODAY]
Seriously, this was my impression of an official meeting. Great idea, after Idea; all perfect, once the game matures in 3 years.
How will anyone benefit from a shop none can afford to buy anything?
Much less, lets take into account THERE IS SO FEW ACTIVE PLAYERS. So of course the idea that is actively promoted as a clothing shop will inspire new players to join Bimbolands . It is laughable to me, and totally expected. A players shop is the cart, with no way of being useful. There is no players, and even the few that are here, cannot afford even the clothes or makeup, or hair styles. I could, but I wont even invest in such a poor business plan.
" I __ , if elected offer you all passing grades in collage, and extra milk and fruit on every day ending in a 'Y'. I want to support your education and learning if you just vote for me."
This is a joke of course, but it was based in a real Jr. high-school election, I had the sad occasion of being a student at.
So let's just take it to the NEXT step:
Would you like my idea of loaning you money at a 33% interest rate and a 45.00 B$ membership fee? To buy a pair of socks that will be worn out before you make the first payment?
Why does every human want to buy the cart, before they buy the horse. I hate using farmer situations, but it is what I do. I play with common sense,
* and cents.
I would like to thank Super Glam Girl for reminding me to research inflation, and her perspective of a failed political situation in real time. (Argentina) Our politics may be very different, but the same old story of greed always plays out in the long run. Politics as usual when there is money at stake and everyone is expendable, in the pursuit of fame.
I can excuse the young players.
I can only shame the American collage educated one's much to my dismay.
If anyone really believes that Bimboland's is a charity game I've got London Bridge to sell.
Currently located in Arizona, USA. ( a joke? perhaps, but the bridge is really there, and not for sale by the true owner)
