amber here. i've decided to make an updated version of our previous birthday thread (which you can find here), originally created by my friend and predecessor misogynist. i've dubbed this the "birthday board"! it's technically been the calendar, but board just sounds nicer to say (it comes from message board!)the first birthday calendar thread was made so that atheista citizens could wish each other happy birthday! this is fantastic, and i'd love to see this happen more often, but in my previous term i decided to take it a step further and give out 100 diamonds to every atheista citizen on their birthday. ( ´ ω ` )
please keep in mind your birthday needs to be on the calendar to receive a present. while i try to scoop up everyone that forgets to add, sometimes i will not check the thread itself for a little while (although i do have forum post notifications on for the thread itself) and just look at who is in the calendar, since that's what i give gifts based of off. please don't just put your birthday in as a post! it makes things a lot easier for me to give you the diamonds when you add it to the calendar. :-)
as a side note, i am updating the calendar so that i have ownership of the sheet (so if anything happens, i can lock it from editing and put things in manually - just for contingency reasons). it's copied from the old one, so everyone that has put their names in thus far will still have them on the calendar!
please use this calendar instead! the old one is now view only, so there won't be any mistakes in putting things in the wrong place.

so, you're probably thinking, "why update the thread? didn't the previous one work fine?"
well, here's why i'm changing it: i've decided that the birthday gifts will only be for active users.
i want to reward active citizens, not ones that join for a few weeks and then stop playing - i don't think it's fair to everyone who is a regular participant on the site and in our town hall.
therefore, as of the creation of this post, i will only be giving birthday gifts out to those who have been online over the past month.
i understand people have things going on in their lives, so i'll be giving some wiggle room of a few days, but past that, you need to at least have logged on once in the past month to receive a present on your birthday- i think that's a decent window of time.
i still plan on wishing people happy birthday, but if you haven't been on in the past month, you just won't get the diamonds & may get your well wishes in a comment instead of a message. ^^
