Hello Bimbos

This is the right honourable Prime Bimbo Sweetasnuts.  I am writing to welcome any new bimbos to the Humanist republic of bimbolands!

Welcome!

We are a small but growing nation and its lovely to see a few old names and faces from the veteran MB days.
This site is a creation of 2 of my interests - namely Miss Bimbo and humanism. Perhaps its a rather unconventional mix but hey ho! 

So there are 4 people who have worked on this site and all of us share the view that the world has gone a bit religion mad and therefore it would be cool to create the first humanist republic. 
This is the first humanist republic!
And this is our attempt to play our small part in advancing humankind. 

Where exactly this site is is going is still open for decision. My initial idea was simply to get the site up, the election date planned and the forums open. And then see what happens. 
Personally i am quite excited about the election element. I am hoping we can create the perfect democracy in terms of voting electronically and democratically. Every bimbo here is 'legit' because they have signed up through facebook. This means our republic is full  of real bimbo citizens.
Our Prime Bimbo will be truly democratically elected and we (Blighty Ltd) will act as support to the Prime Bimbo.

What powers do you think we should give the Prime Bimbo?  To start with they will have the power to spend the treasury money and to 'police' the community. In future perhaps we can pay the Prime Bimbo a salary and give more power.

 I love your mission plan, and goals.  Of course the rules and regulations must still be worked on.  I've found in working in a RL scenario of being an effective leader, that most new agendas are tailor-made towards the good of the whole.  A good leader never picks a side to be on regardless of personal dogma.  Being a humanist is often a fuzzy grey area, within a massive population of millions of different personalities.

  I am hesitant to run  for the First dually elected Prime Minister position while the game is still in it's infancy, because a term limit of two terms has been set in stone yet the vagueness of an election that leaves room for debate.
 I can understand the limit for two terms consecutively, but what if the ideas of a previous Prime- Minister, worked very well, and couldn't be elected again, later?
  Would the game be stuck with a constant morass of bad leadership?  ( I laughed so hard as a former "Miss bimbo" leader ran on a platform, of Shop owners/designers.  She had nothing but promises of new clothes and the players of a fashion game ate it up with votes.....   Did she deliver?  NO, the game died amid bickering and hate speech.

 We saw that happen once before, when elections just became popularity contests.  We see that in real life, with those with the most money and personal agendas win elections despite not having any real goals that benefit the whole of a given population.  A humanist republic is much more complicated to make, because everyone is a human, and therefore subject to emotions being the over-riding factor in all decisions for a group as a whole.
 Politics is a very dirty game, because you can never please 100% of all the 'Humanists' that have been bourn  or ever will be.

  I mentioned this being a very interesting social experiment in my very first post on this game, and I stand by that statement.  Yet someone might need to step in and stop a 'lord of the flies' type leader, later in the future.  I have no agenda, but to help grow this game/ and idea/concept.  To selfishly wait to lead, till the game self-destructs, feels very selfish to me. However if only two terms is all you can ever have, Strategically I would have to choose to wait till the 'shit hits the fan,' and society spirals out of control, to step in and fix it. This would be the best use of my resources for the benefit of the whole.  I'm perfectly willing to take the "wait and see', approach to the first elected Prime Minister. 
 I'm paid plenty enough as it is in my 'private life' to not need additional glory in name alone. Bribery with a paid postion, and perks are meaningless to me.  I am a true humanist, to myself.  Self made,success; and a game didn't help me achieve that.  I did it all by myself by thinking of the humans who work for me in Real LIFE, first.  It was a lesson you can't buy in a shop-online.

My ideas :

A Prime Minister is the face of the people. The voice of the people.  A servant of the people.  The day to day maintenance of Bimboland's should always be at the pleasure of the King.  Announcements,  entertainment, and enlightenment in general should be the Prime Ministers job.  Promoting Ideas, and games that will arise unexpectedly.  A level of control over the domestic police force is a must.  They must have the time and personality to defuse situations with compromise and reason.

The use of the treasury money, could become an election unto itself.  This is just an Idea I had :

If it is to be used to support a charity, It should become a referendum, to be voted on.  For example, the proceeds for a given month, is given to the winner out of say ten different causes.  Let people nominate, those causes.  I personally would nominate Childrens hospitals, but it could be anything from cancer research, to environmental concerns too.  It would be an ongoing Voting process, every month and generate a lot of interest from the general population because their cause might be the one that wins, any given 30 days.  I think this would be a fun and benificial way to spread the wealth and kindness around to so many worthy causes.  It also keeps a running interest in 'said nominated causes' so every Charity might not win that month, but it does give them exposure, and publicity.  As long as players, express themselves as to why that cause should be put towards a vote.

There is plenty to do, while the games infrastructure is being worked on.  While the game is new the goal is to get out, and meet people.  Show your personality, in the forum.  Say hello to the person playing the game with you. 

  The first players who joined this game, will have an advantage because of the added reputation points they will earn as a result of these first interactions.  I consider it the first goal of running a successful campaign for Prime Minister.  We all must remember that it is the players who are making the suggestions, that will determine the direction a nation will take.  SweetasNut's is asking that question.  Post ideas, not criticism.  From previous experience, I've found that expecting to just have an instant result is never possible without a little work, first.

Do you remember what it felt like to first join Miss bimbo, and have 100 BA?  Then you looked at the top gamers list and saw everyone had a million+ BA ?  Think of your reputation like that.  This time your the first to join a game, and have extra time to earn those reputation points before anyone else can.
 Consider that the first level GOAL of the game.

These lines are very important to read and understand.  The players are being given the choice to what they want to see done in the future.  This si your chance to make the goals.  It's a humanist nation so it will take humans to make it, not just play it.

I like the idea of awarding debaters too! It could help to make the idea of debating a lot more attractive.

I think it's so unfair that one person has to hustle to achieve peace. It's so chaotic with everyone wanting their old accounts back and wanting to delete these. Right now patience is not even a question.

I want to become Prime Ximbo. How do I do that?

All Ximbo citizens can vote in general elections but in order to put themselves forward to become Prime Ximbo they must first become a Ximbo senator. All Ximbo senators are electable as state ministers. State Minister elections take place every 4 months also. Only state ministers are eligible to then become the Prime Ximbo.

Can I become Prime Ximbo more than once?
Yes ­ a Ximbo can hold the position of Prime Ximbo for 3 terms max.

How often do elections take place?
The Internet republic of Ximbolands holds elections every 4 months for Prime Ximbo and 4 months for State Minister.

Where do important discussions take place?
The Forum.

What is the treasury/Prime Ximbos salary?
The treasury/salary is the bank account of the Internet republic of Ximbo land. This figure is transferred to the paypal account of the Prime Ximbo at the end of their 4 month term in charge.

How is the treasury calculated?
The treasury is funded by the Ximbo citizens.
A percentage of the money paid by Ximbo citizens via Paypal and SMS is transferred into the Ximbo treasury. The rest is wisely used for further game development.
