Does bimboland have any clue about autorship?

Hey there,

many years ago I used to play MissBimbo and after all the drama I deleted my account and I created a profile on here. Out of curiosity I remembered to visit this site and went straight to the shop. I also noticed that many clothes are actually my own works from 2011-2013 that I either created for the official MB shop or my personal one. I´m okay with the ones I made "for order" back then because those are credited. I´m not so happy about the clothes that were pulled straight from my personal shop or my blog and weren´t credited! I was in my early/mid teens and knew nothing about autorship etc. so this is really surprising me now because the creators never asked for my permission to sell my work on their bimboland site.

I´d like some explanation? Just because this is kinda an awkward situation 7 yrs later and the fact that I´m supposed to buy my own shit I created when I was like 14?

Hi there, I'm a current shop worker. I recognize your name from some items in shop.

If you can let us know which items are yours (preferably by letting us know current name of item), we can go back and credit you - I think some items we had in storage were added/transferred in without knowing who the original author was, which is why they lack the proper credit. I was on the old MB site, but I don't remember much about it, so I don't know personally which items are yours. The current owner, Kimsim, has just told us that any items made for the previous MB site belong to this game.

I can at least assure you that none of the newer shop workers ever pulled anything from your blog and uploaded it without crediting you - but what happened before us, we can't be sure. So I apologize for that, I understand how frustrating and jarring that must have felt.

As for why you need to buy your own items, unfortunately that's due to how the current site is run. Designers don't get a personal shop or get their own items for free, and they don't get any commission from items they make (I also make items myself). Compensation in game currency from the site owner is few and far between. However... if you'd like us to contact Kimsim to offer you compensation, we can do that for you. I just can't guarantee it will be a significant amount or what you might be expecting, but it would be something.

Just a tiny correction here: Kimsim is NOT the owner, Chris aka Miss Bimbo (and Sweetasnuts) is. Kimsim and Sachem are part of Team Bimbo, but they are not to be confused with Chris, they log on regularly and can be reached by in-game messages and the report-a-problem function.
